You will start
your India trip from Delhi where you can explore the heritage and history of this
beautiful city. This is the city where the old and the new exist side by side
in harmony. You can visit various tombs and mausoleums of famous Mughals emperors
as well as other sights such as the Lotus temple and the Jama Masjid.
Next
you will be visiting Agra where you will view the magnificent Taj Mahal and Agra
Fort. On the way you can stop at Fatehpur Sikri, which boasts of its beautiful
but deserted 16th Century citadel Continue to .Jaipur, one of the most colorful
and vibrant cities in Rajasthan. Jaipur also referred to as the 'Pink City' is
famous for its numerous palaces and forts as well as its sprawling silver jewelry
and textile markets.
Return to Delhi, where you will spend a night before
taking your international flight back to your Home.

Transfer to Hotel. Delhi : The capital of kingdoms and empires is now a sprawling
metropolis with fascinating blend of the past and the present. It is a perfect
introduction to the composite culture of an ancient land. A window to the kaleidoscope
- that is India.
Day 02: Delhi After breakfast full day sight
seeing of Delhi : Visit :The Red Fort built by the great Mughal Emperor Shah
Jahan in 1648, as he moved his capital from Agra to Delhi after the death of his
beloved wife Mumtaz Mahal. Drive through the narrow lanes of Chandni Chowk and
get a feel of "Old Delhi". See the most famous and the biggest mosque
in India, the Jama Masjid, which was also built by Shah Jahan in 1650. On the
way back to New Delhi visit Raj Ghat, the memorial built for Mahatma Gandhi who
was assassinated by a fanatic on 30th January 1948. Here there will be a break
for one hour when you will be taken to a fine Indian Restaurant for lunch. Post
lunch we will take you to the World Heritage site Humayun's Tomb, which was built
by Humayun's widow Hamida Banu, in the memory of her husband and after nine years
of his death. It is also believed that this site was an inspiration for the famous
Taj Mahal. From here drive on to the highest Minar (tower) in Delhi known as Qutub
Minar. This Minar was built to celebrate the victory of Mohammed Ghori over the
Rajputs in 1192 A.D, by his viceroy Qutub-ud-din Aibak, and it became a symbol
of the military might of the Turko-Afghan Slave dynasty, and the pole of justice
and Islam. Over night in Hotel.
Day 03: Delhi - Agra After breakfast
drive to Agra,. Arrival and check in to Hotel. PM visit the world famous Taj Mahal
: The construction of this marble masterpiece is credited to the Mughal emperor
Shah Jahan who erected this mausoleum in memory of his beloved wife, Arjumarid
Bano Begum; popularly known as Mumtaz Mahal, who died in A.H. 1040 (A.D. 1630).
Her last wish to her husband was "to build a tomb in her memory such as the
world had never seen before". Thus emperor Shah Jahan set about building
this fairy tale like marvel. The construction of Taj Mahal was started in A.D.
1632 and completed at the ended in 1648 A.D. For seventeen years, twenty thousand
workmen are said to have been employed on it daily, for their accommodation a
small town, named after the deceased empress- 'Mumtazabad', now known as Taj Ganj,
was built adjacent to it. Amanat Khan Shirazi was the calligrapher of Taj Mahal,
his name occurs at the end of an inscription on one of the gates of the Taj. Poet
Ghiyasuddin had designed the verses on the tombstone, while Ismail Khan Afridi
of Turkey was the dome maker. Muhammad Hanif was the superintendent of Masons.
The designer of Taj Mahal was Ustad Ahmad Lahauri. The material was brought in
from allover India and central Asia and it took a fleet of 1000 elephants to transport
it to the site. The central dome is 187 ft. high at the centre. Red sandstone
was brought from Fatehpur Sikri, Jasper from Punjab, Jade and Crystal from China,
Turquoise from Tibet, Lapis Lazuli and Sapphire from Sri Lanka, Coal & Comelian
from Arabia and Diamonds from Panna. In all 28 kind of rare, semi precious and
precious stones were used (or inlay work in the Taj Mahal. The chief building
material, the white marble was brought from the quarries of Makrana, in distt.
Nagaur, Rajasthan. Copies of orders (farmans) issued to Raja Jai Singh, for the
purpose by Shah Jahan, can be seen in the Taj Museum. Taj Mahal's outer court,
also known as Jilo Khana, was formerly used both as a bazar and a caravansarai
(Rest house). On the south-east and south-west comers are the tombs of Sirhindi
Begum and Satiunnisa Khanum. The Taj has a jewel-like quality. The shadow and
light play demonstrates its many moods. Some feel the Taj is best seen on a full
moon night, others find it ethereal at dawn while some insist that it is sensuous
at sunset..
Day 04: Agra - Jaipur After breakfast drive to jaipur.
on the way visiting Fatehpur Sikri Imposing gateways and light- hearted palaces
were built in red sandstone within this fortified city only to be abandoned a
few years later. Among its many architectural game are the places for his queens
- Jodha Bai, Mariyam and his Turkish sultana, built in varying styles, each perfect
in itself. The Diwan-e-Khas entirely unique in its concept is a tall vaulted room
with an intricately carved central pillar and capital supporting a platform that
once held the emperor's throne. Narrow galleries link this to the corners of the
room where it is believed his ministers sat The airy panch mahal a 5 storied structure
rising in pyramidal fashion was probably used by the ladies of the court. Set
like a jewel in a courtyard of pink sandstone is the finest building here, the
marble tomb of Salim Chisti enclosed by finely carved, lacy marble screens. The
Buland Darwaza, an imposing gateway 54 m high was built to commemorate Akbar's
Aligarh the famous university town is a center of Islamic studies. Arrival at
Jaipur and check in to Hotel. The origins of the beautiful city of Jaipur can
be traced back to the eighteenth century, during the reign of Jai Singh II who
ascended the Amber throne in 1699. Jaipur today, epitomizes the spirit of Rajputana.
In-spite of growing into a bustling metropolis, it still retains it's character
and history - A beautiful fusion of the yesteryears and modernity. Popularly known
as the Pink City because of the extensive use of the locally abundant pink plastered
stone, painted so in honor of the visit of the royal consort of Queen Victoria.
Jaipur thrills the soul with its massive forts, magnificent palaces, exquisite
temples and lush gardens. Over night in Hotel.
Day 05: Jaipur After
breakfast full day sight seeing of Jaipur -. Visit: AMBER FORT PALACE Amber is
the classic romantic Rajasthani fort palace. Its construction was started by Man
Singh I in 1592, and completed by his descendent Jai Singh I. It's forbidding
exterior belies an inner paradise where a beautiful fusion of Mughal and Hindu
styles finds it's ultimate expression. CITY PALACE A delightful blend of Mughal
and traditional Rajasthani architecture, the City Palace sprawls over one-seventh
of the area in the walled city. It houses the Chandra Mahal, Shri Govind Dev Temple
and the City Palace Museum. JANTAR MANTAR This is the largest and the best
preserved of the five observatories built by Jai Singh II in different parts of
the country. This observatory consisting of outsized astronomical instruments
is still in use. HAWA MAHAL The ornamental facade of this "Palace of Winds"
is a prominent landmark in Jaipur. Its five-storey structure of sandstone plastered
pink encrusted with fine trelliswork and elaborate balconies. The palace has 953
niches and windows. Built in 1799 by Pratap Singh, the Mahal was a royal grandstand
for the palace women. Over night in Hotel.
Day 06: Jaipur - Delhi After
breakfast free at leisure and drive to Delhi. Arrival and check in to Hotel. Over
night at Hotel.
Day 07: Delhi After breakfast sight seeing &
free for shopping. In evening after fare well dinner, departure transfer to Airport
for board your flight.
